On April 6th, 1926 a small open-cockpit biplane took off from Pasco carrying 200 pounds of U.S. postal mail, becoming the FIRST airline to deliver airmail in the United States! Pasco’s first airline, Varney Airlines took off 100 years ago putting Pasco in the history book as the birthplace of our nation’s commercial airline service.
